Baret is a comprehensive and global journey with a cost similar to that of a top-tier
university in the United States. And whereas a year in college takes place in a series of
classrooms across a single campus, a Baret Scholar’s classroom is the world.
For 2025–26, Baret Scholars program costs $94,500.
This includes tuition of $64,500 + a travel fee of $30,000 to cover the costs of a global journey.
Tuition
Tuition includes the Morning Program, our daily TED talk style lecture series, seven-day curated journeys in the form of Fellowships, enrolment in our Seminars, and the expertise and guidance of our Deans and Fellows.
Travel Fee
The travel fee includes all flights and transportation, plus 7-days-a-week breakfast and lunch and all accommodations for the entire Baret Scholars program year.
We value students who bring curiosity, energy, and leadership to the Baret community.
Each year, we award up to $1.8 million in merit scholarships, with individual awards of $20,000, $30,000, or $40,000 toward tuition. These scholarships, awarded for achievement and promise rather than financial need, provide meaningful support toward tuition and help open the Baret experience to more students from around the world.

the merit scholarship option when completing the application form.
Baret offers need-based financial aid to help families bridge the gap between their resources and the cost of a Baret year. In addition to our merit scholarships, we provide two levels of highly-competitive need-based awards.
Support Awards: Highly selective awards of $40,000–$60,000 toward tuition and fees.
Comprehensive Awards: Our most competitive awards, covering more than two-thirds
of tuition and fees.
Need-based aid is available only in Round 1 and Round 2 admission cycles. Students applying will be asked to complete an additional form and essay as part of their application.
