Tuition and
Travel Fees

Baret is a comprehensive and global journey with a cost similar to that of a top-tier
university in the United States. And whereas a year in college takes place in a series of
classrooms across a single campus, a Baret Scholar’s classroom is the world.

For 2025–26, Baret Scholars program costs $94,500. This includes tuition of $64,500 +
a travel fee of $30,000 to cover the costs of a global journey.

Tuition

Tuition includes the Morning Program, our daily TED talk style
lecture series, ten-day curated journeys in the form of Fellowships, enrollment in our Afternoon Options, which are Baret’s version of seminars, and the expertise and guidance of our Deans and Fellows.

For comparison’s sake, consider that a year in college consists of about 400 hours in a classroom. Our Morning program is 200 hours by itself.

Travel Fee

The travel fee includes all flights and transportation, plus 7-days-a-
week breakfast and lunch and all accommodations for the entire Baret Scholars program year. This includes for the fall term and for the winter/spring term in both the Home Base cities and the Fellowship locations.  For details on tuition payment schedules, please follow this link.

Need-based Aid

We offer some need-based aid to help families bridge the gap between their financial
situation and the cost of a Baret year. We only offer need-based aid in Round 1 and Round 2
admission cycles.

Students applying for need-based aid will need to fill out an additional form in their
application, which will require the submission of an additional essay.
